The institution is also registered under Sections 2(f) and 12(B) of the University Grants Commission and is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education for imparting teacher education programmes including the Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP), B.A.B.Ed., and B.Sc.B.Ed.
From the Academic Session 2026–27, the institution has been functioning as an Autonomous College under the provisions and guidelines prescribed by the University Grants Commission and the concerned affiliating university. The autonomous status has empowered the institution with greater academic flexibility in curriculum design, innovative teaching-learning methodologies, continuous evaluation systems, skill-oriented education, and research-driven academic practices.
